| Aboriginal Council of Lethbridge

The Aboriginal Council of Lethbridge (ACL) is the UAS community entity in Lethbridge, formerly known as the Aboriginal Interagency Committee. Operating for the past twenty years, the ACL have experience in a wide variety of issues pertaining to urban Aboriginal people; in particular, their work with the Mayor of Lethbridge through the Aboriginal Opportunity Initiative.
The Council's objective is to promote and unify Lethbridge's urban Aboriginal community. In order to achieve this goal ACL has managed to develop a variety of partnerships with school boards, municipal, regional, provincial, and federal organizations to implement the pilot projects proposed for Lethbridge.
The ACL is composed of a volunteer Board of Directors. At any time a minimum of five directors to a maximum of nine can be voted in to serve on the Board of Directors. There are currently six directors serving on the board.
