Question: Does the LCN offer computer courses?
Answer: Certainly. For participants on social assistance, recent immigrants, new Canadians, and those working with an employment counsellor, we offer a Basic Computer Skills course for $15.00. Participants who complete all four course seessions as scheduled are eligible to receive a computer system.
For the general public, we offer a basic computer, internet, and picture editing course. The fee for this course is $45.00.
All courses are taught using Windows 7. Question: Do I have to sign in when using an LCN computer?
Answer: Yes, everyone visiting the LCN must sign in before using a computer and provide identification. Question: How do I check my email?
Answer: Look on the LCN home page and you will see a button which will link to various email servers. Question: How do I set up a hotmail account?
Answer: Call the LCN Office for information and advice 317-7799. Question: Where would I go to find these computers with free internet access?
Answer: Check out the "Partners" section of our website to find the locations of LCN computers at our partner locations with free internet access. Question: Can I download stuff on the LCN computers?
Answer: This depends on what type of file it is you are trying to download. Question: Where does one obtain forms for Applications for Citizenship or Permanent Resident Cards?
Answer: You must obtain any CIC forms from the Government of Canada Immigration Website Question: Can anyone submit a photocopied Application for Permanent Resident Card?
Answer: No, you must request a form from the gov.ca website and they will mail one within a week. Question: Are we an approved CAP site?

Answer: Our regular hours are: On Mondays through Fridays LCN is open 8:00am - 5:30pm On weekends and statutory holidays, LCN is closed Question: When does the CAP-YI grant start again?
